2025 - 2026 House League Hockey Registration
Registrations for the 2025-2026 House League hockey season will open Saturday August 23 and remain open until Friday September 12.
After September 12, we will start reviewing numbers so we can make decisions on number of teams.
We believe we offer a simple, no-nonsense house league option for many families. No bells and whistles…just a family first, hassle-free hockey experience. Before deciding, please ask some of our recent players and parents what they think of SDMHA.
One question we are often asked is concerning the registration fee. Yes, with our business model, the initial cost is higher than other Associations in our area; however, SDMHA uses the registration fee to cover all player fees/practice/game costs. In the other Associations, teams receive an invoice, during the season, for these costs and must come up with money to pay the invoice. SDMHA teams are not billed anything further, by the Association, during the season. To mitigate the higher initial fee, SDMHA is offering instalment payments this season.
It is our intent to field a team at all age groups if we have the right number of registrations. We have coaching staffs at most age groups but will need some volunteers at certain age groups if we get the numbers.
SDMHA ice block begins in October.
Depending on registration numbers (if we have enough for more than 1 team in a division), development ice will be scheduled prior to draft date.
